On Saturday, October 12, 2013 the hills around Cunningham, Kentucky will once again echo with the joyous sounds of down-home country and gospel music.  Groups of local and professional musicians will gather at the Cunningham Veterans Park on Highway 62 at 11:00 to begin the Seventh River Country Music Festival. 

Sarah Elizabeth Burkey will be with us again.  Sarah has toured over 25 countries as well as performing in venues throughout the United States.  Her brand of folk/country music is flavored by the events of her childhood spent here in the “river country” of west Kentucky 

Q and A are newcomers to the River Country Music Festival. They mix uninhibited originals with the covers that encompasses the sound track of their lives....of everyone's lives. They tackle music with soul, and wisdom. They are aggressive, and tender, yet bring a harmonious balance to the stage that has been received with acclaim, and openness. They invite you to experience their love of music, Christ, and each other either through their music and live shows. 

Jay Black characterizes himself as “just a simple man born on a farm in Hickman, Kentucky. Having grown up working his family's farm and pecan business, this self-taught guitarist and songwriter has really been making a name for himself in western Kentucky with his original country songs taken from his own life experiences. 

Adrienne Beasley, a Wickliffe girl who has sung with the Gaither’s gospel group and was a contestant on American Idol, will be here again to lend her beautiful voice to our joyful noise.  Adrienne has graced us with her performance for multiple festivals and people are still talking about her. 

The afternoon will not be complete without the people that make this possible every year…. the local singers from the churches and back porches of the area.  These folks always bring a joyful sound to the park and we hope you'll join in on all your favorites.

Admission is free!!!


Throughout the afternoon, local and “semi-professional” players will test their skills in a Corn Hole Tournament trying for the grand prize and bragging rights.

As always, scrumptious barbecue, cakes and pies, will be available for those who want enhance their experience.
