St Charles Picnic drew in large crowd another year

BARDWELL- Members of St Charles Church held their annual Picnic on Saturday July 19.

The event opened at 10am and was enjoyed all day by the many picnic goers. As usual the event had plenty of great food including barbecue, hamburgers, and more. A noon meal was served followed by an evening meal.

Folks young and old enjoyed the day playing the many games with the bingo stand full capacity all day and evening. Prizes galore were on display for bingo winners that were donated by local businesses and organizations.

By the evening hour a drawing was held and several prizes were given out to lucky ticket holders, they included 1st Prize - $ 2,500 Mike Carrico, 2nd Prize – Rocker/Recliner Casey Powell, 3rd Prize – $300 Phyllis Teeters, 4th Prize - $ 200  Jack Riggs, and Quilt - Richard Thomas

The picnic is an annual event and is sponsored by the members of St. Charles Catholic Church.
