By Pat Thomann, Editor

When Stan Head graduated from Livingston Central High School little did he know that he would one day have a coaching career at Livingston Central that would result in him being inducted into the 2015 Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Stan Head coached Livingston Central Softball from 1998 to 2003 and again from 2011 to 2014 when he retired. His coaching career record was 236-95 with the icing on the cake including a 2014 Class A State Championship, a 2013 Region 2 Championship and a 5th Place finish at State as well as coaching four 5th District Championship winning teams and three teams that won 2nd Region All A Championship titles. He was also named the 2013 2nd Region Coach of the Year and his coaching staff won the 2014 State A Coaching Staff of the Year Award.

Coach Head's 2 daughters played softball at Livingston Central and he has always been involved with their little league and traveling softball teams.

Coach Head will be missed by staff and students at Livingston Central and his contributions to the school softball program and his love for his students will not be forgotten.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015 Coach Head and 7 other coaches will be inducted into the 2015 Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame during the East-West All Star Softball Weekend held in Louisville.

Good luck, Coach on your retirement and thanks for your dedication to the students of Livingston Central High School.
