Two Paducah Men charged in recent ATV theft
On August 25th, 2018, the McCracken County Sheriff's Department was notified of the theft of an ATV and compound Bow from a residence on Jenn Lane in the Lone Oak area. The victim reported that he was currently performing remodel work at the residence of a relative and had left the items stored at that location. During the initial investigation, deputies were able to identify two possible suspects in the case.
Over the course of the next week, detectives were able to follow up on information generated during the investigation. Detectives interviewed 23-year-old Jacob Sanders of Paducah, KY, and he admitted to his involvement in the theft. Detectives were also able to generate further information implicating 22-year-old Christopher Crocker of Paducah, KY, in the theft of the items. Both Sanders and Crocker were employed by the victim at the time of the theft.
Arrest warrants were obtained for both Sanders and Crocker. Sanders surrendered to the Sheriff's Department on Friday, September 7th, 2018. Crocker was arrested by deputies at his residence on Sunday, September 9th, 2018. In an interview conducted with Crocker after his arrest, he admitted to his involvement in the theft.
Both Sanders and Crocker were charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking, over $500/under $10,000, a class D Felony.
