Veterans honored at Memorial Bowl

Currently enlisted military personnel and military veterans that have served in any form of the military forces came out to the Ballard Memorial - Fulton City football game on Friday night, August 29th. This was Ballard Memorials annual National Guard Memorial Bowl where service to our country is recognized.

As a school dedicated in memory of our military men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice, we understand the importance our military has in our community.

All military personnel and military veterans were honored prior to the beginning of the game with WWII veteran Earl Gidcumb playing taps. Ballard Memorial High School football coach John Elliott. "We appreciate the Veterans coming out tonight and we really enjoyed being able to recognize them. I thought it was a very nice ceremony in pre-game. We want to thank everybody for the big crowd. We had a great crowd and it was a lot of fun."
