CALVERT CITY -- Merva D. Egner, 102, of Calvert City died Friday, July 29, 2016, at her home.
She is survived by one son, David Egner of Calvert City; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Frank Egner; four brothers; and one sister. Her parents were Lynn and Martha (Angle) Smith.
Graveside service were held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Fooks Cemetery with Elder Danny Ferrell officiating. Interment followed.
EDDYVILLE -- George Anthony "Tony" Ellis, 53, of Eddyville died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, in Shelbyville.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Millikan Ellis; his mother, Freida Scott Ellis of Newport News, Virginia; two daughters, Anna Ellis and Allison Ellis, both of Eddyville; one son, Avery Ellis of Eddyville; one sister, Monica Halberg of Smithfield, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
His father was George Avery Ellis. Services were held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Lakeland Funeral Home with The Rev. Jack Larwa officiating. Burial followed in Rolling Hills Cemetery. GILBERTSVILLE -- Lisa Anne Walker, 45, of Gilbertsville died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah.
She is survived by her mother, Brenda (Swirczynski) Walker of Gilbertsville; one sister, Laurie Rudd of Benton; and two nephews, Bryce and Brandon Rudd of Benton. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Cap" Walker.
Service were held Friday, July 29, 2016, at Collier Funeral Chapel in Benton with Phillip Rudd, Byron Rudd, and Bryce Rudd officiating. Interment followed in Benton Church of Christ Cemetery; Mark Ray with officiating.

BENTON -- Mrs. Martha Lou (Smith) Reed, age 88, of Benton, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Reed is survived by one son, Richard Reed of Benton, Kentucky; three daughters, Kenethia Taylor and her husband, Gary, Christine "Chris" Story and her husband, Danny, and Kendra Davis Hills and her husband, Jeff, all of Benton, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jackie Mullins of Benton, Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Bette Jeane Coker Osborne; daughter, Rhonda Osborne Goss and husband Russell of Starkville, MS; son, Thomas Osborne Jr. of Paducah; two grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Goss and wife Alexa, Alison Goss Eng and husband Carl; four great grandchildren, Caden Thomas Eng, Dylan Grace Eng, Addyson Rose Goss, Kylie Ryan Goss; and several nieces and nephews.

METROPOLIS, Ill. -- Betty L. Wiley, 82, of Metropolis, Illinois passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Betty was married to Arlet Wiley, who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2005. She was a member of the Brookport Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, James (Debbie) Wiley of Golconda, Illinois, and Steven Wiley of Metropolis; four grandchildren, Gary Wayne, Brent, Chad (Jessica) and Wade (Priscilla); four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Linda (Aubrey) Jeffords, Eulene (Nick) Eubanks, Brenda (Larry) Blanchard and Shirley (Frank) Tucker; one brother, Billy (Trudy) Walter; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Marty Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hastings Cemetery in Pope County, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
