Robert “Bobby” Yates, 44, of Paducah, KY passed away at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, January 09, 2014 at his residence. He had worked as a driver for United Parcel Service and Coca-Cola. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church. He is survived by his Mother, Joan L. Venters Yates Bruyns and step-father, Robert Bruyns of Paducah, KY; daughter, Katie Yates of Paducah, KY; sisters, Kimberly Yates and Julia Yates both of Paducah, KY; grandfather, Leslie Venters of Paducah, KY; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Yates; 1 brother, 1 sister and his grandmother. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Gospel Assembly Church with Rev. Michael Hunt and the Rev. Encil Edmonds officiating. Mary Ham McWaters, of Paducah, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 6:28 am at Calvert City Convalescent Center. Mary was born in Paducah, KY to W.E. and Nannie Ham. She was employed with Clausner Hosiery Mill, Paducah Shoe Factory and Tot ‘N Teens, prior to her retirement. She is survived by her husband of seventy three years, James McWaters, of Paducah; her daughter, Shirley Grimm, of Richardson, TX; her grandchildren, Eric Grimm and wife, Jennifer, of Aledo, TX, William Grimm and wife Gillian, of Warren VT; her great grandchildren, Ben, Madeline, Jack, Briton and Evelyn, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ham and Nannie Reed Ham; her son in law, Larry Grimm; three sisters and one brother. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hardmoney Baptist Church Cemetery. Eric Grimm, Will Grimm, Charles Grimm, John Ham, Pam Mizell and Sue Nan Jones will serve as pallbearers. Betty Ann Morreau, of Paducah KY passed away at age 83 on January 1, 2014, at Tennova Hospice Residential facility in Knoxville TN. Betty was an active member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah for 45 years. She worked for several years at The Cardinal Shop women's clothing store in Paducah. Surviving is her husband of 59 years, James Earl Morreau. Jim also now lives in Knoxville TN at Sherrill Hills. Betty was the loving mother of four children. Her
children and their spouses are James E Morreau, Jr. and his wife Jane C. Morreau of Louisville KY, Tommy Morreau and his wife Cyndi Morreau of Paducah KY, Kathy Boling and her husband Wayne Boling of Knoxville TN, and Susan Morreau of Louisville KY. Betty was also a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren. Jacqueline Dennis (Matt), Greg Morreau, Chad Morreau (Callie) Ryan Morreau (Sarah), Whitney Morreau, Sarah Elliott (Mark), Emily Dyer (Daniel) Allyson Boling, and Madison Morreau. Betty and Jim have five great grand children as well. Karlee Elliott, Kade Elliott, Annileese Morreau, Owen Morreau and Ellen Dyer. Preceding in death were Betty's parents, H.B. "Punk" Willoughby and Katherine Willoughby, and one brother, Bill Willoughby - all of Richmond KY. Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Chad Morreau officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery . Brenda Snow Gibbs, 71, of Hickory, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on January 1, 2014 at her son’s home in Boaz. She was a retired nurse for Dr. Robert Burnett, a member of Liberty Baptist Church, and often attended Trace Creek Baptist Church with her family.  She is survived by her husband Seldon Gibbs; her mother, Mildred Pierce Snow of Mayfield; son, Richard Todd Oliver and wife Lynda of Boaz; sister, Norma Sue Underwood, of Hickory; two grandchildren, Austin Oliver, Drew Oliver; and four nieces and nephews, Jill Marsh of Houston, Jon Snow, Tim Prater, and Kimberly Prater. She was preceded in death by her father Dalton Snow; her daughter Cynthia Jean Oliver; sister Shirley Mae Prater; two brothers, Larry Dalton Snow, Bobby Dale Snow; and one nephew Chris Snow. Funeral services for Mrs. Gibbs will be 2:00 pm Sunday January 5, 2014 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. James Earl Morreau, age 87, of Paducah KY passed away on January 2, 2014 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Jim was born in Oneida, TN on November 28, 1926. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and worked as a chief accountant at Westvaco for 30 years. Jim Morreau was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah for 45 years. Surviving are his four children and their spouses, James E. Morreau, Jr. and his wife Jane C. Morreau of Louisville KY, Tommy Morreau and his wife Cyndi Morreau of Paducah KY, Kathy Boling and her husband Wayne Boling of Knoxville, TN, and Susan Morreau of Louisville, KY. Jim also had nine grandchildren, Jacqueline Dennis (Matt), Greg Morreau, Chad Morreau (Callie), Ryan Morreau (Sarah), Whitney Morreau, Sarah Elliott (Mark), Emily Dyer (Daniel), Allyson Boling, and Madison Morreau. Jim is survived by five great-grandchildren, Karlee Elliott, Kade Elliott, Annileese Morreau, Owen Morreau and Ellen Dyer. Surviving is one sister, Louise Prescott of Baton Rouge, LA. Preceding Jim Morreau in death by just one day was his adored wife, Betty Willoughby Morreau. Frances Hack Allen, 98, of Paducah, KY died Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:40 a.m. at Superior Care Home. Frances has been a member of Grace Baptist Church since she was 12 years of age and played the piano at Grace for over 50 years. She was a self-taught pianist. Frances retired from Western Baptist Hospital where she worked in housekeeping. She was also employed at Magnavox, worked at the basket factory and served as custodian at her church for many years. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Gayle Burnett and husband Gerald of Paducah, KY, Vanna Dean Tynes and husband James of Symsonia, KY; nine grandchildren, Russell Flood, Brian Flood, Cheryl Dunn, Leslie Reynolds, Deana McManus, Jonna Newton, Amy Day, Laurie Burnett and Gerald Burnett; ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were husband, Jewell C. Allen, two daughters, Connie Dell Flood and Donna Jewell Reynolds, her parents, Jonathan William Hack & Mary Elizabeth Hawkins Hack; two sisters, Helen Smith and Minnie Lee Hack, four brothers, Stanley, Hugh Chester and Bob Hack. Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. James "Jim" Miller, 91, of Paducah, KY passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at his daughter's residence in Burtonsville, MD. Mr. Miller was born and raised in Paducah. He attended Tilghman High School, Paducah Jr. College, the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville before joining the Navy. Mr. Miller served as a Naval Engineering Officer aboard a minesweeper in the Pacific theater of operation during World War II. After the war, he was employed as a physicist at the Naval Ordinance Laboratory in Silver Spring, MD until his retirement. He retired to his home town of Paducah, KY in 1978. Formerly, he was a trustee and deacon at Reidland Baptist Church. Over the years, he taught Sunday School and served on many church committees. Mr. Miller has been a member of the Reidland
Lions Club since 1979 and was a former District 43K Governor. He was a Melvin Jones Fellow, a member of the Kentucky Lions Hall of Fame and a Knight of the Blind. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, a Duke of Paducah and former Treasurer for the Reidland Community Center. He is survived by a daughter, Jamie Sue Miller Hairfield (Larry) of Burtonsville, MD, two sons, Thomas W. Miller (Peggy) of Eldersburg, MD and Kenneth B. Miller of Naples, FL. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a step-sister, Nova Nuckols. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerleene Fesmire Miller; his parents, Archie C. Miller and Lela B. Fields Miller; brothers Archie, Lloyd and Edward and sisters Dorothy Dollins, Barbara and Margaret. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah with Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Shirley Kerr, 75, of Paducah, formally of Metropolis, IL, passed away 4:45 pm, Monday, January, 6, 2014 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah. Mrs. Kerr was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Metropolis where she was a choir member. She was a retired dietary worker from Massac Memorial Hospital and she was a past employee of the Good Luck Glove Company in Metropolis. Mrs. Kerr was active in the Massac March of Dimes and for several years in a row she was recognized for raising the most amount of money for that charity. She also received the Super Man of Metropolis award. She is survived by one daughter Tammie Kerr of Paducah; and one aunt, Virginia McCreary and her husband Allen of Zion IL. She was preceded by her parents Ronald and Amanda Rottmann Werner. Funeral services for Mrs. Kerr will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Terry Cathey officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Margie Rhea Puckett, 77, of Paducah, KY passed away at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 08, 2014 at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL. Margie was a Homemaker, retired from Kolb Brothers Wholesale Drugs as a buyer and had worked at Ohio Valley Aviation. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. Margie is survived by her daughter, Pam Butler of Paducah, KY; son, Terry Puckett of Berea, KY; sister, Nora Mae Finley Aldridge of Hopkinsville, KY; brother, Danny Forguson of Cadiz, KY; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Arthur Eugene Puckett; daughter, Debra Diane Puckett; son, Gary Lee Puckett and one sister. Her parents were William Conley Forguson and Ambie Eska Fuqua Forguson. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Charles M. Steinkamp, 89, of Lone Oak died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:40 a.m. at Lourdes Hospital. Charles was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a veteran of U.S. Navy having served during World War II. He retired as a mechanical engineer from B.F. Goodrich Company. Charles enjoyed working with his hands and fixing things and enjoyed his trips to Sanibel Island and Gatlinburg, TN. Survivors include wife, Doris Rupp Steinkamp; two daughters, Sue Ann Cavanah and husband Chuck of Paducah, KY, Mary Jo Steinkamp and husband Andy Elbon of Nashville, TN; one step-daughter, Rhonda Smith and husband Jimmy of Paducah, KY; two sons, Charles W. Steinkamp and wife, Wendy of Silver Springs, FL, David Alan Steinkamp and wife, Keri of Lakeland, FL; one step-son, Kenny D. Rupp of Paducah, KY, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding in death was his first wife, Ann Mayes Steinkamp; parents, Earl Steinkamp Sr. & Georgia Gamblin Steinkamp; two sisters, Eleanor Griffin and Marye Sykes; one brother Earl Steinkamp Jr. Services will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev.
