J.D. Hall, age 78, of Paducah, passed away at 10:00 PM on Monday, January 20, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Hall was a member of Southside Holiness Church in Paducah. He retired from Lourdes Hospital where he worked in the maintenance department. He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Allen of Nashville, TN, and Belinda Green of Paducah; son, David Hall of Paducah; sisters, Marie Guess of Tiline, KY and Shirley Porter of Paducah; brothers, Willard Hall and Louis Hall both of West Paducah; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Claudine (Wallace) Hall; parents, Graves and Katherine (Farmer) Hall; two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Kevin Pleasant officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the funeral home.

Kendall Nelson Thomas, 61, of Paducah, KY died at 5:37 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. He was a Electrical Engineer. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He is survived by a daughter, Trish Thomas Jordan of Paducah, KY; sister, Connie Scoggin of Kingman, AZ; brothers, Leo Thomas of Barlow, KY and Glen Ray Thomas of Palma, KY; grandchild, McKinley Sullivan of Paducah, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kendall Cheney Thomas and Kathleen Inman Carter. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. William Elwood Hunt, 75, of Paducah passed away 9:52 am Tuesday, January, 21, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. He was a retired driver for Texaco Oil Company, and was also a driver for Paducah Area Transit. Mr. Hunt had owned Hunt’s CB Radios, Echo Electronics, and Uncle Tex’s BBQ. He was a dispatcher for the Kentucky State Police, and was a McCracken County Jailer and a Deputy Sheriff. He is survived by his wife, Donna Loe Hunt of Paducah; two daughters, JoAnn Prather and husband Ray of Somerset KY, and Tricia Beine of Calvert City; one sister, Sharon Channell and husband Joe of Paducah; one brother, Dwight “Ike” Hunt and wife Rhonda of Paducah; four grandchildren, Trae Prather, Brandi Prather Tucker, Benjamin Beine, Saralyn Beine; and two grandchildren, Bennett Tucker and Bryce Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Ray Hunt and Emma Dallas Hunt; and one infant sister. Funeral Services for Mr. Hunt will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January, 25, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Carolyn E. Edwards,91, of Paducah, KY passed away at 11:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at her residence. She was a homemaker. Carolyn was a member of Gospel Mission Worship Center and a member of the Golden Group . She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Eastern Star. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Sullivan of Paducah, KY and Rhona Mullen and husband Leonard of Paducah, KY; son, Mike Edwards and wife Karen of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Chris Miller and husband Casey, Cory Edwards, Blane Mullen and wife Angie, Kenneth Sullivan, David Sullivan and wife Tracy and Tracy Mullen; eight great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Edwards and three brothers. Her Parents were Fred Bement and Zura Buchanan Bement. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jim Greenwell officiating. Helen Ruth Russell, age 93, of Paducah, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Ruth retired as an executive secretary in Memphis, Tennessee. Ruth had a lifelong love of sewing and enjoyed quilting after her retirement. She was also a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Janet McCracken, and her husband, John, of Paducah, her son, James Russell, and his wife Maureen, of Escondido, California, and four grandchildren, Anna McCracken Velarde, Melissa McCracken Center, Alice McCracken Stoner, and Russell McCracken, along with seven great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Marilyn Segale, and a niece, Virgina Marvin. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John William Russell, one sister, and five brothers. Her parents were Charles John and Anna Walter Segale. A funeral mass for Ruth will take place at 12:00 noon Friday, January 24, 2014, at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with Father Brian Roby officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. There will be no visitation. James Edward Gregory, 78, of Paducah, passed away at 10:22 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah. Mr. Gregory was a member of Central Church of Christ; he was a retired insurance salesman with American General and worked for Mutual of Omaha. Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann Sills Gregory; one daughter, Lisa Fay Yates and husband Martin of South Fulton, TN; one son, Steve Edward Gregory and wife Faith of Hendersonville, TN; two grandchildren, Stephanie Compton and husband Bobby of Bumpus Mills, TN and Drew Yates of Providence, RI; two great grandchildren, Emma Compton and Ryan Compton; four sisters, Dorothy Dowdy and husband Archie of Calvert City, KY, Barbara Gregory of Paducah, KY, Carolyn Marcum and husband Bill of Murray, KY and Diane Pulley and husband James of IL; three brothers, Sam Gregory and wife Carolyn of Reidland, KY; Bill Gregory and wife Peggy of Paducah, KY; and Gary Gregory of Paducah, KY, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Gregory and one brother, Earl Gregory. His parents were, James Riley Gregory and Reba Janie O’Bryan Gregory. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Jim Faughn officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. William Herdis “Bill” Bundy, 79, of Paducah, died Thursday January 23, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. A native of Paducah, Bill was born June 14, 1934 to the late Herdis William Bundy and Sarah Dorothy Hill Bundy. He attended St. Mary’s Academy for many years. Bill served in the United States Marine Corp as a Drill Sargeant from 1954-1957 and in the reserve unit until 1962.. Bill’s sales career in the plumbing supply business led to employment at Hoe Supply Company, Chester O’Donnelly and Associates in Nashville, and Commercial Plumber’s Supply in Calvert City. He was of the Catholic faith and attended both St. Francis de Sales and St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Bill is survived by two siblings, Martha Ann O’Leary of Colorado Springs, CO and John R. “Bob” Bundy and wife Martha of Paducah; brother in law, Howard Wilkes; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Wilkes; brother in law, Jack O’Leary; and his parents. A funeral mass will be held at 1pm Monday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating. Memorial visitation will begin at 12pm Monday at the church. A private graveside memorial service with Military rites will be held at Mt. Lillian Pearl Dendinger Rothwell, 95, lifelong resident of Paducah, passed away Saturday at 11:48 am at Baptist Health Paducah. She was a member of New Covenant Church. Lil is survived by two sons, Rev. Mike Rothwell of Paducah and Rev. Randy Rothwell of Denver, CO; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Wilson “Bill” Rothwell; and a sister. Her parents were Martin and Robbie Meares Dendinger. Memorial services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with her sons, Rev. Mike Rothwell and Rev. George S. Fields, 92, of Murray, formerly of Paducah passed away 11:16 pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. Mr. Fields was retired from Wonder Market as the meat department manager, and he was a World War II Navy veteran during the South Pacific Theater. He attended Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray and he was a former member of Central Church of Christ in Paducah. Mr. Fields is survived by his wife, Maxine Cunningham Fields of Murray; one daughter, Linda Reid and her husband Stan of Paducah; two sons, George L. Fields and his wife Teresa Ann of Paducah, Mark Fields and his wife, Sonya of Paducah; one sister Inel Davis of Hutchenson KS; eight grandchildren, Christina Fields, Christopher Reid, Michael Reid, Jennifer Shaffer, Courtney Leneave, Angela Morzella, Andrea Clark, and D.J. Bennett; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ovena Stroud Fields; one son, George Thomas Fields; three sisters, Maudline Taylor, Florence Glover, Loretta Tucker, and one brother Thomas Fields. His parents were Thomas Carroll Fields, and Stella Sields. Funeral services for Mr. Fields will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 31, 2014 at The Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Jim Faughn officiating. Marbeth Sciqulla Cox Chandler, 98, of Lowes, KY passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at her residence. Sciqulla was a member of Owens Chapel United Methodist Church, and a homemaker. She was a true farmer’s wife as she worked beside her late husband, Carl Chandler with the cattle and with the crops. She was a native of Land Between the Lakes in Lyon County. Survivors include her long- time friends and caregivers, Jimmy & Janice Nicholson of Mayfield, KY; one nephew, Tim Watkins of Benton, KY; one niece, Pam Reed of Benton, KY. Preceding in death was her husband, Carl Chandler; parents, William Cox & Etta M. Wilcox Cox, one sister, Genola V. Cox Watkins. Services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.
