Sammie Flournoy, 79, died March 21, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mr. Flournoy was of the baptist faith and a farmer in Ballard County for many years. He was the former owner of Twin Oaks Mobile Home Park in West Paducah, KY and he did commercial lawn mowing and was a handy man. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Jane Flournoy of Gage, KY; three grandchildren, Phillip Flournoy of Gage, KY, Lacey and Katey Flournoy of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Edward Flournoy of Blandville, KY; and two uncles, Bill and Clois Viniard of Gage, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Urlean Viniard Flournoy. Dixie Lee Baldwin Mitchell, 75, of Kevil, died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. She was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on October 10, 1938 to the late LeRoy and Sarah Waller Baldwin. Before moving to Kevil, Dixie worked as a Pharmacist Apprentice and in the billing department at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, IL. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McLeansboro. Dixie and Don enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida to watch baseball spring training and she was a regular bingo player at Jamestown Plaza. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Mitchell; three children, daughter, Connie Mitchell Dubbels of Paducah, sons Donnie Mitchell and wife Michelle of Scottsdale, AZ and Tim Mitchell and wife Tammy of LaCenter, Ky; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will follow at McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery. Christine Champion, 84, of Paducah, KY and formerly of Livingston County died Monday, March 24, 2014 at 10:48 p.m. at Baptist Health Paducah. Christine was of Missionary Baptist Faith and had worked in retail sales at J.C. Penney’s, Minnen’s and Goody’s department stores. She loved dancing and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include three sons, Darrel Champion and wife Cathie of Paducah, KY, Phillip Champion of Salem, KY and Johnny Champion and wife Lisa of Benton, KY; one sister, Loretta Blankenship, Ledbetter, KY; two brothers, Glin Swinford and wife Mona of Frankfort, KY, Troy Swinford and wife Jan of Ledbetter, KY; six grandchildren, Jason Champion, Amanda Myhand, Daniel Adams, Josh Champion, Jacob Champion and Justin Champion; nine great-grandchildren, Shelbi Glover, Tysen Glover, Nathan Champion, Cody Champion, Carlee Myhand, Sophie Myhand, Faith Champion, Gavin Champion and Jacey Champion, several nieces and nephews. Linda Sue Crump, 65, of Melber, KY died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 5:31 a.m. at Lourdes Hospital. Linda was a member of Owens Chapel United Methodist Church and was a bus monitor for the Graves County Board of Education. She was an avid reader and enjoyed relaxing on her deck watching wildlife.
