Charley Lee Nanney, 82, of Paducah, KY passed away at 9:25 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at his residence. He was retired from ISP Chemical Company with 24 years of service. Charley was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, Paducah Masonic Lodge #449 F&AM, International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local #1720. Joyce Denver Teasley, 85, of Cunningham, passed away at 3:46 am Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah. Joyce Denver was born in Cunningham on June 19, 1929 to Felix E. Teasley and Idel Ward Hanover. Joyce Denver was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World, and Dogwood Hills Golf Club. Tad Potts, 82, of Memphis, TN formerly of Paducah, KY passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born in Hickman County, KY. Tad was retired from the Paducah City School System as the Director of Buildings and Grounds. He was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah for over 60 years and was a member of the Church of Christ at White Station in Memphis, TN. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Tad was a avid woodworker, specializing in the building of Colonial Furniture. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Mr. Andrew Clausen officiating. Joseph L. Pittard, 94, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 12:45 pm, Friday, December 26, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. His military career was extensive. He was a Staff Sergeant in the 83rd Infantry Division. He landed on Omaha Beach on June 23, 1944 after being caught in the huge storm that almost doomed the invasion. He continued on to the Battle of the Bulge and was a part of the only unit to cross the Elbe River. His many honors include the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, and most recently Paducah's 2004 Distinguished Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Commander of Four Rivers Chapter 585 of Military Order of the Purple Heart, and a member of the Paducah Veterans' Day Planning Committee. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. Joe Beal will officiate. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Services for Kenneth Simmons, 62, of West Paducah, was held Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Robert Bickford and the Rev. Joey Donelson officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Simmons died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah. He was a member of Local No. 181 Operating Engineers Union.

Woody Gee Burrow, 77, of Paducah, KY died peacefully at 8:12 a.m. on December 29, 2014 at Morningside of Paducah. A graduate of Memphis State University and University of Tennessee Medical School, he interned at the US Naval hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia after joining the Navy with the Senior Medical Program. He attended the Naval School of Aviation for Medicine in Pensacola, Florida for six months following which he served as a flight surgeon with CAG 15 aboard the USS Coral Sea Aircraft carrier. After completing five and a half years in the Navy he settled in Paducah, where he practiced Family Practice medicine from1967 until 2000. He was a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, as well as member and past President of the McCracken County Medical Society. He conducted a family practice in Lone Oak for 33 years, retiring in 2000 due to ill health. He was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Services were January 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Dr. Jeff Wallace and Rev. Don Pippin officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St Jude's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105. Brian Edward Suggs III, 43, of Paducah, died Wednesday, December 24,2014 in Paducah. He was a deckhand for Graestone Logistics. A private memorial service will be held in Alabama at a later date. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.

David Lytton Elliott, age 62, of Mayfield died Monday, December 29, 2014, at Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield. He was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church and a retired teacher and basketball coach from Graves County High School. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, Kentucky. The Rev. Curtis Rice and the Rev. Ben Stratton will officiate. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery. Jay Buckley, Al Manning, Dennis Fisher, Randy McCallon, Johnny Orr, Steve Mason and Greg Carter will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at the funeral home. Phillip G. Edwards, 90, of Owensboro, formerly of Mayfield, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Owensboro Regional Medical Center in Owensboro. Mr. Edwards was a truck driver. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Stan Walden officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Philip J. Edwards, age 80, of Mayfield died Saturday, December 27, 2014, at his residence. He was a member of the Remnant Church in Mayfield, owner of Edwards Sew and Vac, and an Air Force veteran. Funeral services were Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Rev. Don Hendley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Frances Sayre, age 88, of Mayfield passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. She was a member of the Spence Chapel Methodist Church and a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Charles Lucas Jonas, the infant son of Charles Andrew "Drew" and Whitney Jonas, of Murray, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati. Flora Lee Hawkins, age 93, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. She was born November 23, 1921, in Oak Level, Kentucky, and spent most of her life in Benton, Kentucky. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Benton, Kentucky, and loved to sing in the Choir. She and her husband graduated from Benton High School in 1940. She was a RN graduating in 1943 from St. Anthony's Hospital School of Nursing in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the first RN assigned to Benton Hospital. She was affectionally called "Mama Rigg" by her family. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, Kentucky. The Rev. David Atkinson will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Mark Stevens. Burial will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, Kentucky. Visitation will be held between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025. Ralph Rudolph, 84, of Benton died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at his home. He was retired from Pennwalt Chemical Corporation. He was a member of Maple Hill Church of Christ and a retired minister for several churches. Mary Kathryn Edwards, 71, of Eddyville died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at her home. She was a retired school teacher, church secretary, president of United Methodist Woman and a member of Kuttawa United Methodist Church.

Marilyn (Anderson) Stockbridge, 82, of Gilbertsville, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton. She was a retired telephone operator from NY Bell and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City. A memorial Mass was held Dec. 31, 2014, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City with Father Anthoni Ottagan officiating. Interment will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens. Lynn Waller, 91, of Cadiz died Friday, December 26, 2014, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Waller was the retired owner of Lynn Waller Lakeside Properties. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II during the Battle of Leyte. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, VFW, a lifetime member of the American Legion, past member of the National Association of Realtors and the Kentucky Association of Realtors, where he served on several committees. He was a charter member of the Pennyrile Board of Realtors where he served as past president. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Gregory Trawick officiating. Entombment will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with military honors. Memorial services for Richard Campbell, 68, of Murray, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home and Crematory. Florianna Georgina "Flo" Wright, 83, of Murray died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at her home. She had worked at Family Shoe Store, Belks, and Rite-Aid, where she retired. Donald Dwayne Jenkins, 74, of Princeton died Monday, December 29, 2014. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. His parents were Verdie Walker and Iva Esma Ortt Jenkins. Services were December 31, 2014, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Phillip Dunning officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Church Cemetery in Caldwell County.
