Elane M. Poole, 78, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, at her residence. She was born in Los Angeles, California. Elane was a dog groomer and trainer. She was the retired owner and operated of K9 Stylist. Elane moved to Paducah in 1993 and worked part time at Legacy Kennel in Reidland. Elane was a graduate of the Christian Fellowship School of Ministry and was ordained in February of 2004. She served in the mission field in Afghanistan, South Africa and Belize. Elane was the House Mom for Ladies Living Free and served in Healing Rooms. She was a member of the Freedom Center Church and had formerly attended Gospel Mission Worship Center and Christian Fellowship Worship Center. John T. Dotson, age 74, of Paducah passed away at his residence at 6:38 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015, following a brief illness. John was born May 17, 1941, to Harvey C. Dotson and Lola Lee Reid Dotson. He lived in the Paducah area and was a graduate of Reidland High School. In 1961, he entered the U.S. Army where he served for a little over 21 years. On February 7, 1964, John was married to Karen Kay Allmon. During his military career, she accompanied him as he was stationed in various places, including San Francisco, Washington State, Maryland, Florida and Texas, and also two tours in Germany and one in Korea. John was a member of Oaks Church of God, and a professor at the Institute of Engineering and Technology and Shawnee Community College. Funeral services for John will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Danny Ray Middleton, 70, of Paducah died Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Roscoe Franklin Keeling, age 77, died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Superior Care Home. Roscoe was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where he ran the sound, served on mission trips and many committees. He was instrumental in starting the Men's Prayer Breakfast and was also a faithful usher and greeter. After graduation from Lone Oak High School in 1957, Roscoe attended the Mohler Barber College in Memphis, TN. He was the owner and operator of Lone Oak Barber Shop for over 42 years. He owned and ran Mario's Pizza and Steak House in Lone Oak for many years. Roscoe held the honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel and "Duke of Paducah." Services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak First Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Williams, Bob Martin and Dr. Willis Henson officiating. Gloria B. Robinson, 90, of Paducah, KY, died on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah. Mrs. Robinson was born in Chicago, IL, on August 13, 1925. She had been associated with or owner of Robinson's Bakeries in Skokie IL, Largo, FL, and Whitehall, MI. She was a business entrepreneur, supporter of local animal shelters, a homemaker and an avid sailor. She was an adventurer having lived on and had cruised a sailboat in the early 60s. She with her family navigated the Illinois, Ohio, Mississippi river systems and the Gulf coast before relocating to Largo, FL. Surviving are two sons, Kimberley and Stuart A., and daughter in law, Joyce Robinson. No services are planned at this time. Milner & Orr Funeral Home located in Paducah is in charge of arrangements. Kenneth Richard Tyler, 88, of Cadiz died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Vitas Hospice in Merritt Island, Florida. Mr. Tyler was a retired machine design engineer for Illinois Tool Works Inc. in Chicago. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the VFW Post No. 7890. Tommy Ray Calhoun, 75, of Cadiz died Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah. Mr. Calhoun was a master logger and cattle farmer. He was a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church in Trigg County. He had served on the Trigg County Fiscal Court as a magistrate. He was a member of Trigg County Cattlemen's Association. Mr. Parks was a former teacher at Murray High School and retired as a customer service manager with 29 years of service from IBM. He then worked at Kentucky Dam Village Golf Course. Vernon Bradley Guess, 84, of Kuttawa, Kentucky, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1931. He retired as a supervisor at SKW Alloys in Calvert City. He also was a farmer. Vernon was a member, deacon, and trustee of Macedonia Baptist Church and served on the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board, Fire District #2 Board, the ASCS Board, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was an Army veteran. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 3124 State Route 93 North, Kuttawa.
