Volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves, orange safety vest, and a sack lunch.
Seymour Bluffs at Wickliffe Mounds
Saturday, May 31, 2014, 1:00 to 3:00 PM
Meet at the Welcome Center for a presentation from children's author Phyllis Bechtold who writes a book series about an American Bald Eagle named Seymour Bluffs. In her book, Seymour Bluffs and the Legend of the Piasa Bird, Seymour travels back in time to an Illini Indian village located along the Mississippi river and helps them with a problem from the mysterious Piasa bird. A life-size Seymour Bluffs will be on hand to help Ms. Bechtold personally autograph the books for sale. This is a wonderful book program for children of all ages.
