Western Kentucky man arrested on multiple drug charges

SMITHLAND, Ky. (WSIL) -- A western Kentucky man was arrested on drug charges after authorities responded to a report of someone threating to destroy property.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office said one of their deputies responded to a report of a someone threatening to burn down a property along Burna Church Road on June 4, at 4:15 p.m.

Authorities responded and said they found 34-year-old Kendal Boyd with some illegal drugs on him.

Boyd was then taken into custody and cited with multiple offenses, including Third-Degree Terroristic Threatening, First-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and two counts of Second-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He was taken to the McCracken County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
