Gov. Andy Beshear has sent his letter to President Trump requesting that he declares a major disaster for Kentucky in response to the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding, which began on April 2 and is continuing.
"Let's remember that this is still a dangerous threat. We don't want to lose anyone else to floodwaters. That means everyone needs to continue to take the threat seriously and never drive through standing water."
