A contractor for Mayfield Water and Sewer plans to establish a work zone along a section of U.S. 45 at the southwest edge of Mayfield starting Tuesday, December 10, 2019

The contractor plans a work zone with intermittent lane restrictions along U.S. 45/Fulton Road near the Macedonia Street intersection at U.S. 45 mile point 14.95. This is along US 45 near the interchange with Interstate 69 and the U.S. 45-Bypass

This work zone is to facilitate installation of a new sewer line. The work is expected to take about 2 to 3 days to complete, weather permitting.

Some preliminary work may start at this site prior to Tuesday.

While regular 2-way traffic will be maintained in this work zone whenever possible, motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers from time to time

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic.
