Paducah, Ky. --The debut of the new book, Paducah Wall to Wall: Portraits of Our Past, will take place on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 4-6:30 p.m. at With Love, From Kentucky, located at 106 Broadway St. in downtown Paducah. The reception is open to the public, and Paducah Mayor George Bray will give remarks at 5:15 p.m.

Ro Morse, with the Wall to Wall Committee, will also speak at the event. She said, "We pushed to have it ready before Christmas! Since the newest panels of the Dafford Murals were finished this summer, we have rushed to get photos of each new panel into this new edition of the book. Now this newly-printed book includes every mural panel in full-color photos, with descriptions of each panel."
"The Wall to Wall murals are well-known and draw visitors to see them," said shop owner, Karen Harris. "From our shop windows, we watch people strolling along the murals, learning about them and enjoying them, every single day. Whether it's local families, or visitors arriving by riverboat, or travelers coming off the Interstate, people are genuinely interested in Paducah's history and what makes it special," she said.
It will be everyone's first opportunity to see and purchase the new edition of the book. The book is the culmination of nearly two decades of work to create the murals. The sale of the book supports the Wall to Wall Committee, which has shepherded the process along over the years. "We are so pleased to work with Ro and the Committee to bring this book to the Paducah community, just days after it has come off the press!" said Harris.
The public is welcome to attend the event. Free coffee and cookies will be served at the reception, and a deluxe limited edition Wall to Wall tote bag will be given as a door prize. A special package of a new Wall to Wall book, Wall to Wall tote bag, and Wall to Wall t-shirt are available at $45, a 15% discount off of the regular prices of each. Also, customers are encouraged to purchase three books, with one for themselves and two to give as presents, to share their pride of Paducah, far and wide! The books will sell for $10.95 each.
