Don't ignore the moments: they make all the difference

I've read that millions of dollars in lottery money are unclaimed every year, and the states reap the benefit. According to a Google search, in every lottery state, there are multiple millions unclaimed each year. Most of these millions are from scratch off tickets that thousands of people decided 'wasn't worth tracking' for some reason. Maybe they lost the ticket or they just forgot about it. Guess who gets all this big money if the ticket expires before its claimed? The state.

Don't lose or forget about God in your life. Ignoring the things that "don't seem worth it" will be a mistake.

I was thinking of the current Ashbury University revival and how we can either be part of it, if only by our prayers for a great move of God, or if we'll let this special moment in time go unclaimed.

Like the unclaimed benefits of lottery money, the biggest loss will be that someone else reaps the benefit. If your family is like my family, you could use a move of God. Why let someone else reap the benefit when you need it?

Catch the star as it passes by. Not only does our families need a move of God, but our country needs a move of God. We need to pray that we experience revival. It's a matter of surrendering. Jesus said, "Today is the day of salvation". Right now, this moment, is where you can find joy and peace and happiness.

We can be so preoccupied with seeking a brighter future that we fail to enjoy the moments. I believe, if we've not careful, these special moments can quietly slip right through our fingers like tiny grains of sand that can never be picked back up.

It's the moments that count. The moment you show love. The moment someone loves you. The moment you pray for someone who's suffering. The moment someone receives salvation. The moment someone is healed. The moment a revival hits.

There are a lot of problems in this world, and a lot of people suffer greatly in this life. I believe, there is one sure place we can find peace and that is by letting God's Spirit live in us moment by moment. The Bible says, "The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5: 22,23). These are moment by moment actions and reactions.

I think this present moment is very important. I'm expecting a move of God around our country from the current Ashbury revival. The truth is we need a revival across our nation. The lottery and its millions, won't zap you with lasting happiness. The best-looking husband or prettiest wife won't zap you with lasting happiness. Winning a top position won't zap you with lasting happiness. Actually, nothing will zap you with lasting happiness, except the peace of God.

The "fruit" of the Spirit is what God does IN us. When we feel confident in him, we can find rest for our soul and peace for our mind. We need revival.
