MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Marshall County, Ky. Sheriff's Office says deputies were called out around 3 a.m. on Feb. 17, 2026 for a report of a four-wheeler in the park after hours. When they arrived, deputies say they discovered damage to one of the statues at the plaza.

Investigators say they heard a four-wheeler in the distance and later located it. The sheriff's office says a brief foot pursuit followed, and deputies apprehended two male juveniles--one 16-year-old from Paducah and one 17-year-old from Calvert City.

According to the sheriff's office, both face charges of first-degree criminal mischief (Class D felony), second-degree criminal trespassing (Class B misdemeanor), and second-degree fleeing or evading police (Class A misdemeanor).
