There will be 3 options to vote in this election.

  1. Request a ballot via the Kentucky Election Portal: Govoteky.com or call the Ballard County Clerk's Office (270) 335-5168. Absentee ballots may be requested August 21, 2020- October 9, 2020.
  2. Early Voting will be available at the County Clerk's Office: Monday- Friday 8am-4pm October 13, 2020 thru November 2, 2020. The Clerk's Office will be open 3 Saturdays 8am - 12pm October 17,24 and 31 FOR VOTING ONLY. Social distancing and masks will be required as mandated by the Governor due to Covid 19.
  3. In Person Voting on Election Day Tuesday November 3, 2020 will be available at the Ballard County Clerk's Office 134 N 4th St, Wickliffe, KY or at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in LaCenter 421 Broadway St, LaCenter, KY. All registered voters who have not previously submitted a ballot will be eligible to vote at either location from 6am-6pm on this day. Please note that according the KRS 117.227 which went into effect July 15, 2020. A driver's license will be required at your polling location. In addition, social distancing and masks will be required as mandated by the Governor due to Covid 19

Please be aware when you request an absentee ballot, you will be asked for your social security number to verify you as a registered voter. We will not be able to process the request without this information.

Ballots need to be filled out completely. Please ensure that both the inner and outer envelope are signed, the spots needing your signature will be highlighted for your convenience. Your signature must be the same signature that you use on your driver's license or photo id. This office must "cure" or verify the signature on the outer envelope with your driver's license or photo id.

Ballots may be mailed back to the County Clerk's Office or they may be dropped off into the double locked election drop box inside the entrance of the courthouse.
