Mayfield, Ky. (April 25, 2023) - Jackson Purchase Medical Center (JPMC) today announced that Kristin Whipple, certified nurse midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, has joined its provider staff and will be offering maternity care including lactation consulting to patients in Mayfield and the surrounding region.
"We are so excited to welcome Kristin to our team of women's healthcare providers after her having served our community for several years as a nurse at JPMC," said Dave Anderson, JPMC CEO. "Her specialty in midwifery will be a great complement to our obstetricians and will enhance the services we offer at the New Beginnings Birthing Center."
Kristin holds a Master of Science in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Before receiving her certification in midwifery, Kristin worked as a registered nurse and lactation consultant with Jackson Purchase Medical Center since 2015. Kristin specializes in prenatal and postpartum care, vaginal birth, breastfeeding support, gynecologic care, reproductive and sexual health, contraception and family planning, and peri- and postmenopausal care.
Kristin has begun seeing patients at Jackson Purchase Primary Care - Women's Health, located in suite 120 of the Jackson Purchase Medical Pavilion at 1111 Medical Center Circle in Mayfield. Appointments may be made by calling 270.251.4543.
