Over the weekend, 29 vintage tractors traveled through Graves County as families gathered along the roadsides to cheer. What started as a tribute to Danny "Dan Dan" Flood, known for his love of Farmall tractors and community spirit, has become one of the county's most cherished fundraisers, raising over $4,000 this year for youth programs.

Danny Flood was remembered for his kindness and dedication. After his passing, friends and family organized the first tractor drive to honor his legacy while supporting the next generation, an effort that continues to grow each year.

This year's event attracted crowds who waved and took photos as the tractors rolled by. Funds raised benefit local initiatives, including the Shop with a Deputy Program, which provides Christmas gifts for needy children, and the Danny Flood Scholarship for graduating seniors at Graves County and Mayfield high schools.

Sheriff Jon Hayden expressed gratitude on Facebook, thanking the Independence Bank, Pete Galloway for hosting lunch, and all participants. Special recognition was given to Joe Kimble and the Mayfield American Legion Post for their $500 donation.

The event was a collaborative effort involving 1776 Bank, the Graves County Sheriff's Office, and local departments, ensuring a safe and meaningful experience for all. A special thanks also goes to the Mayfield/Graves County Fire and Rescue and Sedalia Fire Department for their vital support with traffic control.

Looking ahead, organizers aim to expand next year's event with more participants and fundraising opportunities, continuing to honor Danny's legacy while investing in the futures of young people in Graves County.
